We are seeking expressions of interest from Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung artists who are based in Victoria for an integrated design commission opportunity. The commission will be embedded in a water feature within the expansive new 18,000 sqm public garden delivered as part of the Melbourne Arts Precinct Transformation.
Viewing the waterway as a canvas for the design, this commission is an opportunity that blends art, design, storytelling and nature. The commission should speak to the importance of the Birrarung to the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung people as a lifeblood, a carrier of stories, and a place of significance.
EOI submissions will be reviewed by a selection panel and an artist will be selected to proceed into Developed Design.
