With an awe inspiring and timeless design, The Fox: NGV Contemporary will comprise an overall area of 30,000 square metres, making it the largest facility of its kind in Australia. There will be more than 13,000 square metres of dedicated display space for art and design including exhibition galleries and an expansive rooftop terrace.

The new gallery will provide large-scale and flexible exhibition spaces to present contemporary works of global significance, scope, and ambition, as well as providing even more space to display renowned artworks from the NGV’s growing collection of contemporary art and design.

Angelo Candalepas and Associates is leading a team of 16 Australian, Victorian, and Melbourne-based firms to design the gallery.
